Designed to attract a hip, sun-and-fun-loving clientele, this newly renovated (December 2005) resort sits on the Sea of Cortes Medano Beach with a view of Lands End, craggy rock formations that mark the end of the Baja Peninsula. Fiesta Americana Grand Los Cabos

A sea-view lobby with stone walls, red-and-bronze-marble floor, light-colored wood trim, high-beamed ceiling, and richly colored paintings exemplifies the resort's understated contemporary style. Sand-colored buildings terraced into the rocky mountainside blend into the desert landscape, and open-air terraces have cushioned rattan seating. Couples and families come for seclusion and relaxation.
Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach

A marble-floored lobby with dark-wood beamed ceilings, antiques, and chandeliers of wrought-iron and glass, in addition to a veranda with leather rocking chairs exemplify the ambience. Flowering gardens, flamingos, aviaries, swans, and stone-lined arroyos to carry off rare rainwater grace the hillside. Couples and families come for secluded holidays and panoramic ocean/beach views.
Hotel Finisterra

A celebrity destination when the 54 original cliff-front rooms opened in 1971, the Hotel Finisterra maintains tradition, as families and couples return annually to renew acquaintances. Waterfalls drop down a rock cliff between the two sections and an aerial walkway connects the two sections.
