Our voyage today starts in Marmaris a lively tourism centre and Turkey’s busiest yacht-chartering port. It has a large harbour, which was the starting point for several historic military assaults by sea, a big marina development with lots of shops, bars and restaurants.
Travelling west through the pretty Ekincik region, you reach Dalyan, Kaunos and Istuzu Beach. Spend a day exploring this area, starting with a trip down the densely vegetated
Dalyan river delta to the ruins of Caunos, which was an important Carian and Lycian city. The town of Dalyan is overlooked by incredible tombs carved, sometime during the 4th century BC, into the sheer cliff face hundreds of feet up.
take a shot home like this
According to local legend , the sulphurous Mud Baths and hot springs will ‘take ten years off you’. The golden sands of Istuzu Beach are a great place to relax, as well as an important breeding ground for Caretta Caretta loggerhead sea turtle
The next major stop is Fethiye. Fethiye was the most important city of the Lycian epoch - dating back to around 500BC - when it was known as Telmessos. Today, there are few remnants of the town’s history, though there are still several magnificent Lycian rock tombs overlooking the town, the partial ruins of a fort believed to have been built by the knights of St John, and a recently unearthed amphitheatre. An earthquake destroyed much of the town in the 1950s.

Cabin Charter - general information
All tours which are offered here take place on Standard-Yachts, the traditional Bodrum-built GULET. All yachts are between 19 - 25 meters length, these vessels accommodate between 12 and 16 guests in 6 to 8 cabins. The cabins have en-suite WC & showers. (Hot & cold). There is a music set, VHF Radiotelephone and a dinghy on each yacht, but in general no air condition. Crew consists of a captain, cook and a deckshand.
An exact yacht’s name can not be available until 1 or 2 days before departure, as numbers of bookings come in often late. This works well over the years like a cooperative and we advice you to give us your mobile phone that we stay in contact to give you captain's number and boat name.
The crew aboard our Gulets and yachts often do not have a foreign language mastered, but they almost always know a few ’every-day’ phrases and are able to understand almost all requests.
Booking: 50 % of the total has to be payed before the reservation is confirmed. The balance is to be payed 3 weeks prior to the embarkation.
