How we build Web sites.

One of the most common questions we are asked is, "How do we go about building a Web site?"

This is a complicated question and every site we build is unique and custom, according to each client's needs. So, there is no template we can offer. However, these five general steps outline the overall process:

Domain Name

A domain name, or URL, is the www.yourcompany.com that you type in to view your Web site.

The first step is to select a domain name and get it registered. It is best to let us assist you with this so we can get it set up right for our servers from the beginning. Usually, the client offers some ideas. Then, we present options for your domain name based on availability.

Design the Site

This starts by having a conversation with the client to discover what goals you have and what information you want on the site. After that, we develop a sketch based on the discussion.

All of our sites are custom-built, based on your needs and goals as well as the nature of your particular field or industry.

Once you approve the sketch, the rest of the site is built. This approval process is essential for the client since we incorporate your feedback before we continue with the site.

Hosting the Site

In addition to storing the Web site files, we include e-mail accounts that reflect your domain name (ie, you@yourcompany.com) and detailed site statistics that we custom develope to be complete, yet simple, for our clients to use.

Promotion

At this point, your site is complete and live on the Internet. We don't really specialize in Internet marketingc but we are always happy to advice our clients as different opportunities present themselves. However, as with any business, it is important to remember that getting people in the door is one of the keys to success. A strong marketing plan is essential to a Web site's success.

Maintenance

This is handled on a case by case basis, but usually falls into an hourly rate whenever you need us to make updates.
