NRAP is a NOAA-wide career development program offering short-term rotational assignments to employees at all grade levels away from their regular position. NRAP provides rotational assignments in all occupational areas that support NOAA's missions. An NRAP assignment typically last from 3 to 6 months, but may not exceed 12 months.

Over 120 agency-wide NRAP rotational assignments are posted for which employees may now apply. All applications must be submitted by COB Wednesday, June 14, 2006, using the NRAP online application. NOAA employees may apply for assignments submitted by any Line or Corporate Office. Applicants may apply to an assignment, even if their grade is not within the level (or range) of responsibility (e.g., GS11 - GS13) of the NRAP assignment.

Please refer to NRAP Frequently Asked Questions for more information on this year's program.
