Hello

Can anyone please tell me where I might obtain a sample of iron tinned spoons made by Samuel Hobday (1745-1816) of Birmingham, England, or his son Edward? Or, any info at all on iron tinned spoons would be of great interest please.

Thank you.

Roger Hobday
Hello,

I have just aquired an unusual teaspoon and I am wondering if anybody can help me identify it. It is silver i think that the hallmark denotes 1915, sheffield, Gothic R, makers initials WT. It is slightly larger than all of my other teaspoons although probably not as big as a jam spoon. It has an engraving of Britannia at the top of the handle set into what I think is the maltese cross with the letter M P C S in the 4 arms of the cross.  There are two men, one on either side of britannia, standing with rifles. Just below Britannia, there are the words, 'look forward' The handle is ornate and it has HPS on the bowl and two crossed rifles with garlands of leaves or laurel on either side. I
