            1.         Introduction.

 

            The total number of individual bookings of forward Bed nights booked in November 2006 was 19% up on the total for November 2005.

 

            2.         Statistics.  

 

            Bookings were received from 7 Countries in November 2006 compared to 8 in November 2005.

 

            30% of our Hosts received at least one booking.  1 Host received 6 bookings; 2 Hosts received 3 bookings and 7 Hosts received 2 bookings.

 

            39% of the bookings went to the North Island and 61% to the South Island. 

 

This was similar to October 2006’s results but in November 2005 the result was 28% to the North Island and 72% to the South. 

                       

            Total Bed nights booked from major contributing countries in November 2006 compared to November 2005:

 

            Bed nights booked from Australia jumped 38% and the number of individual bookings doubled; Bed nights booked from within NZ stayed about the same; Bed nights booked from the UK stayed the same but the number of individual bookings rose 33%; Bed nights booked from the USA stayed about the same as 2006.

 

            3.         General.

 

            This month people made more bookings but stayed shorter periods.
