The SRG Aircraft Environmental Section (AES), which is based in the Propulsion Department, is responsible for the certification of new aircraft and engines against the UK noise and emissions requirements which are the standards and recommended practices published by the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) in Annex 16.
