Launched in Boston on October 21, 1797, the USS Constitution is the oldest commissioned warship in the world which is still afloat. On her first mission, during the late 1790's, the USS Constitution guarded American commerce in the Caribbean against French depredations. In 1803, President Thomas Jefferson sent her to the Mediterranean to protect American ships and seamen from attack by the Barbary pirates.

During the ferocious War of 1812, the seamen, astonished at how the British cannonballs were bouncing off the USS Constitution's hull, cried out - "Huzzah! Her sides are made of iron!" Hence, her nickname,"Old Ironsides."

Still a part of the U.S. Navy ship roster, The USS Constitution is tangible evidence of Americas proud naval heritage as well as a modern day representative of Americas patriotism and pride.

"Dear Melissa,

I received the US Constitution in perfect condition!
I have been working a solid hour carefully
removing her from the crating. I can honestly say,
I am now an expert in performing this tedious task.

I want to thank you and your company for meeting
and surpassing my expectations not only in the
quality of the model ship but in the Great Customer
Service provided to insure my complete satisfaction.
In this day an age this is a hell of an accomplishment.

Best regards,
Tom Quartararo"
