Reservations Terms and Conditions
Accommodation
Deposits and Cancellations
- A non-refundable deposit of one night's room rate will confirm your reservation.
Winter Season (November 26, 2006 to April 30, 2007)
- The balance for your stay is automatically charged 30 days prior to arrival. If cancelled within 30 days full amount non-refundable.
Holiday Season (December 23, 2006 to January 1, 2007)
- The balance for your stay is automatically charged 45 days prior to arrival. If cancelled within 45 days of arrival full amount non-refundable.
Summer Season (May 1, 2006 to November 24, 2006)
- The balance for your stay will be automatically charged 14 days prior to arrival. If cancelled within 14 days of arrival full amount non-refundable.
Security Deposit
- A security deposit will be required upon arrival between $250 to $1000. Cheques are not accepted. Security Deposits paid in cash will be refunded with a Cheque four to six weeks after departure.
Extra Person Charge
- Children under 18 staying with their parents stay free.
- Rates are based on the number of guests staying in the property. Extra person charge $20.00 plus taxes per person per night.
Arrivals and Departures
- Your property will be ready for your arrival by 4pm.
- Please prepare to depart your property no later than 10am.
Housekeeping
- Your property will be prepared for your arrival with fresh sheets, towels and a fully equipped kitchen.
- In most condos lodges, townhomes, homes and chalets, for guests staying eight nights or longer, a complimentary mid stay clean and beds will be made with fresh linens.
- In most hotels, a daily maid service will be provided.
- Laundry facilities are available at all properties except some hotels, either ensuite or in the building.
- Additional housekeeping services can be arranged for an extra fee.
Miscellaneous
- All guests staying in the property must be over 25 years of age, unless traveling with parents or guardians.
- A charge of $25.00 will be applied for use of more than three credits cards for payment of each reservation.
- Most properties are non-smoking, some hotels have smoking rooms.
- Most properties do not accept pets, some hotels are pet friendly.
Limit of Liability
Ski Remote Horizons acts as Tour Operator to property management companies and hotel suppliers and accepts no liability on their behalf. The property manager or hotel supplier may have to change the availability of certain properties, prior notification may not be possible. The property managers or hotel suppliers reserves the right to refuse or interrupt service to any customer due to excessive noise or property abuse.
Cancellation Insurance
Ski Remote Horizons hopes every detail of your holiday runs smoothly but adequate travel insurance is vital when embarking on any holiday. You may purchase travel insurance through your credit card provider, independent insurance company or with Travel Guard Canada with whom Ski Remote Horizons negotiated cancellation policies for Canadian and non Canadian residents. Please inquire directly with us.
Exchange Rates
Ski Remote Horizons is a Whistler-based ski tour operator and all rates are quoted in Canadian $.
The best exchange rates are being used when calculating our quotations to give you an approximate
amount in your currency.
Passport and visas
It is the responsibility of passengers and guests to ensure they have valid, acceptable passports and any required visa or any other documentation for the travel they are to undertake. Passengers and guests without the correct documentation may be refused carriage by the airline or entry into any country.
When entry is refused, financial penalty will be imposed. Ski Remote Horizons can accept no liability in this situation and no compensation, expenses, refund or other sum will be paid.
Lift Tickets
Discounted lift tickets
Can only be discounted if purchased part of a package including your accommodation.
Refund Policy
Lift ticket order can be modified up to 72 hours from the starting date of the lift tickets without penalty.
Lift tickets cancelled inside 30 days are subject to a $25.00 cancellation fee
Whistler Blackcomb will refund lift tickets under the following circumstances:
- Two mountain closure due to inclement weather
- Injury accompanied by a doctor’s certificate
Ski and Snowboard equipment rental
Whistler Blackcomb Rentals Policy
All Rentals are subject to a $25(plus tax) cancellation fee and are non refundable within 24 hours.
Ski and Snowboard School
Whistler Blackcomb Ski and Snowboard School Cancellation Policy
All lessons are subject to a $26.75(plus tax) cancellation fee and are non refundable within 24 hours.
The programs are transferable up to one hour prior to the start time for daily lessons and one-week prior for specialty programs. After this time the lesson is non-refundable.
Ground Transfers
Private shuttle and limousines: Cancellations with less than 48 hours notice are charged $100.00 penalty.
Perimeter Whistler express shuttle: Subject to $15.00 administration fee if cancelled by 12 noon one day prior to travel. Non-refundable if cancelled after 12 noon one day prior. Itinerary changes will be accepted with no additional charge, however they must be confirmed.
