Biography
Mark is a member of the International Dispute Resolution practice group. He joined the firm in 2002 having previously worked at a leading London law firm. Mark’s practice is primarily focused on international dispute resolution (through arbitration, litigation or ADR techniques) and also includes advising on the drafting and selection of dispute resolution/jurisdiction/forum clauses, as well as nationality planning in connection with investments in foreign jurisdictions. He has experience of international arbitration, litigation before the English courts, project and asset financing, competition law, corporate governance and export regulation.
Mark was originally called to the Bar of England and Wales and now practices as a Solicitor-Advocate.

- Acting for the claimant in an ICSID arbitration against a government, concerning the withdrawal of a tender to develop an oil field (Washington, D.C. seat)
- Acting for the claimant in an UNCITRAL arbitration between the parties to a joint operating agreement concerning the development of an oil field off the coast of India (London Seat)
- Acting for the claimants in an UNCITRAL ad-hoc arbitration (including defending challenge proceedings) under a Product Sharing Contract against the Government of India (Kuala Lumpur Seat)
