Klamath Lake

It is the largest natural lake in Oregon and the most diverse. At the south end of the lake, anchored by the city of Klamath Falls, you'll find lakeside parks, several marinas, and the Klamath Yacht Club. Both sail and motor boating are very popular. Fishing enthusiasts consider trophy size rainbow "daily fare" in the Pelican Bay area, and bird watchers enjoy a multitude of waterfowl and bald eagles. Resorts and marinas are on the west side.

Lava Beds National Monument

This area is located 40 miles south of Klamath Falls off Hwy 139. During the winter of 1872-73, Modoc Indians held off large military forces by hiding and fighting in the rugged terrain. Visitors explore the battle sites, extinct volcanoes, over 400 caves, underground lava tunnels and natural bridges.

Collier Memorial State Park
