Situated on the "Monte de Almendros", the Almond Mountain, in the coastal town of Salobreña, the luxuriousVilla Sol y Mar comprises 3 bedrooms, its own private swimming pool and 3 terraces with spectacular panoramic views of the sea and surrounding mountains.

The seaside is a 5 minute drive from the house and Salobreña itself is a delightful whitewashed town tumbling down a hill topped by the ruins of a Moorish Castle and surrounded by a mass of sugar cane fields.

Villa Sol y Mar boasts a large 100m² south facing terrace with swimming pool, external shower and incredible views. The terrace is view protected and there are outdoor lights for an ambient night time setting. The area guarantees a very mild temperature for most of the year so that use of the pool at night is a pleasurable experience under the starlit Andalusian sky. There is also a solar heating facility to heat the pool in winter.

From the pool there is a staircase leading up to the main area of the house, an expansive living room, elegantly furnished with comfortable seating and adjoining dining room. The French windows provide lovely, natural light and are perfect for enjoying the Mediterranean sea views from indoors. They open out onto another 15m² terrace, again with superb views and complete with outdoor furniture.

Next to the pool there is another terrace which is situated near the kitchen, making it the ideal place for eating al fresco. This terrace is covered by a Pergola and there are sun shades, sun loungers and garden furniture for eating and relaxing in the shade.

At the top of the house there are 2 bedrooms, one with a double bed and one with 2 singles, and another bedroom on ground level with a double bed and en-suite bathroom and a terrace leading out to the pool.

There is plenty of parking behind the house where there is a garage and extra space for 2 cars beside it. The owners of the property speak many languages, are very hospitable and provide a welcome package for their guests. The mansion is part of the "Monte de Almendros" complex which offers sport and leisure facilities, another very large swimming pool, 2 kindergartens, a children's playground, tennis courts and mini golf range. Salobreña also offers a 9 hole golf course and further leisure facilities can be found 5km away in Almuñecar - namely, the "Agua Tropic" water park and the "Sexi Loro" bird park. Nearby Nerja has one of the largest tropical gardens in Europe at over 20 km.

The beautiful city of Granada with UNESCO world and cultural heritage status is a 50 minute drive away and the skiing resorts of the Sierra Nevada are about the same distance. Salobreña has all manner of places for shopping, banking, medical supplies as well as a plethora of bars and restaurants. The "Chiringuitos" - typical fish restaurants - are particularly recommended.
