With a SDSL Internet connection, it is possible to host one or more website in your own building (i.e. home or office).  This can be advantageous if your web pages are to be "data driven" from information that is maintained in a corporate database.

If your Internet website is business critical, however, you might want to consider having a back-up ISDN network to complement your SDSL connection, power supplies and back-up servers.

Because website hosting requires a good knowledge of Internet security and other subjects,  many organizations elect to outsource their web hosting requirements to professional web hosting companies.  Although SDSL is a relatively fast Internet technology, many companies that specialize in web hosting will often have Internet connections that are even faster than SDSL.
