MailWasher Server is an open-source, server-side junk mail filter package for businesses. MailWasher Server differs from other open-source server anti-spam packages in that it offers a polished, well-integrated web interface and built-in quarantine management facilities. MailWasher Server is easier for administrators to set up and manage and easier for users to use the product on a day-to-day basis. MailWasher Server fully supports Windows Server/Exchange Server systems, in addition to Unix-based systems such as Linux and Solaris.

Why Open Source Anti-spam?

Firetrust recognizes that most anti-spam technology originates from open source projects. By contributing to this pool of knowledge with tools we have developed, we are helping stop the spam plague and enhancing the experience for everyone.

With collaboration from the open source development community, open source anti-spam products will be better, more stable, scalable and developed faster to benefit all users.

The business community benefits by being able to stop spam at a much lower cost using closed proprietary products. This approach also avoids lock-in, and through a partly commercial approach enables a fast resolution to problems.

By giving users tools for effective spam filtering, a stable product and a polished usable interface, further confidence is assured with future enhancements including anti-virus integration and releases of our other proprietary code for email security to open source. Check out the Roadmap.
