Informative Solutions (Learning and Education: Sharing Knowledge)

Operation 'Learning Links', established May 2006
I love to learn. Not many days pass by that I'm not trying to learn something. In my case, this is typically related to technology, and over the last 5-10 years, it's been even more so with regards to web development. What I enjoy even more, however, is when kids learn. To actually see their brains at work; calculating, figuring, solving: It's awesome! In light of this, I'm going to dedicate a link to a site (or sites) here on my main page that provide different aspects of learning. I will then rotate them out every 1-12 months, providing enough time for them to gain at least some additional exposure. By providing links to sites of this nature on my main page, I'm hoping it will help to lift their status if even just a bit. And with that, Operation 'Learning Links' has been established.

    Philosophy for Children

Philosophy for Children: Philosophical Questions from Children's Stories. We have assembled question sets for children’s books that raise philosophical issues. All you need to do is to read one of the children’s books suggested by our site aloud to a group of elementary school children. Then use the question sets to guide you in encouraging the children to discuss the issues. We have also provided guidelines for each book which identify and discuss the philosophical issues raised by the stories.

    KDC Philosophy

Speaking of philosophy, what about teaching philosophy in High School? There is an active discussion thread on the UNICEF site, aptly named, "What do you think of teaching philosophy at the High shool?". My post on the subject is on Page 4, Post #75.
