Sunray is very nice, new and shiney, but it's not the blues bar. Becky's voice is still stunning, Frans and Marcella are great, Sonuc is a great host as always.
However I'm sorry but I miss the old blues bar, maybe this place will grow on me.

This is really a very nice place to go in Dalyan. It's atmosphere is super, the lounge is very loungy and comfortable. the people who work there are very friendly and welcoming and the live music/singer is something very special. A definite recommendation

This bar is now under another heading called Sunray... I like this bar as its a little different from the norm. It may be modern and trendy and yes pricey but its a change.The live music is good and the singer is excellent. If you want yuor belly dancing type smoking a water pipe then go somewhere else and stop moaning.

Bluesbar is now SunRay. You won't believe the changes. They turned it into a classy lounge bar. It's absolutely by far the best bar in Dalyan! Comfy chairs, great acoustic live music in the garden and great coffee

Love the re-furb. The bar looks lovely and the toilets are immaculate. Liked the way the bar is open at the back now. Had a more turkish traditional feel at the back being so close to the mosque. Askin is lovely and service is perfect. Will see you soon xx

For all of you thinking about booking your holiday in izmir think twice, its the 3rd largest city in turkey, and has a massive habour, full of tankers, i dont know how tourists could ever ruin it, theres nothing to ruin, its all apartments and offices, also olu deniz, yes it has a lot of tourists, but ever noticed the buildings they are a lot more pleaseing to the eye then most of the new ones going up in dalyan. good news that its not to busy(bad for the turkish) dalyan shouldnt be spoilt by too many tourists like olu deniz, izmir and so on.... i am going to dalyan in 1 month i hope its not to busy then, i also went to dalyan last may and september and it was not busy in may but busy in september, club seven shut in may and was open in september, i was in dalyan this years june and it was a bit busy.

DELTABAR bestin Dalyan. The reasons for this only will be truly realized when you visit. The village of Dalyan is situated on a river, surrounded by lush green fields breaking into spectacular mountain ranges. iv allways walked past this bar, its either really busy or hardly anyone in it. I went in there once and felt drunk after 2 sex of the beaches, which was odd for me. Maybe they made it strong or with sumthingelse, hmmm .... there was a youngish guy serving us he was sweet but theres was one starring at me he was a strange turk lets say.

i believe i had my drink spiked here, i wasnt very pleased that i spent the next few days of my holiday in hospital... im sorry guys but your really bad people take a leaf out of the other good people in dalyan and play fair! even after i came 2, i was shocked to find i had a huge bar bill! which had drinks on that i never even asked for. A bar for men i'd say, women are treated as nothing but a bill and poss a good night. defo no place for innocent children. Drugs are in the wrong hands here

Wow, what a fantastic time we had. This was our 9th visit to Dalyan and love what Linda & Tayfun are doing to raise money for the local schools with the Bingo and Quiz nights. Great Turkish hospitality with an English twist. Loved the karaoke, if you can't let your hair down on holiday, when can you and of course it is so much fun. Met some lovely people. Adem is lovely and if you are lucky enough to be in Dalyan in August you must go to see the infamous Turgay. Will be back soon xxxx

Please these bars belong in Marmaris or Costa Brava not Dalyan. The Metin Hotel Bar is the best place to go in all of Dalyan after a good meal. This is enhanced by the relaxing atmosphere and friendly service. Anyone can feel comfortable here as the barmen are so helpful and willing to entertain and be hospitable. They are everything you could ask for in barmen.
Personally, my time there was exceptional and I would take the first opportunity given to me to go back. Thankyou Osman and Aníl and the rest of you for a brilliant stay. x x x

After seven times Dalyan we finally found this bar. We stayed here during the Dutch autumnholiday. Storm, thunder and a perfect atmosphere in this bar. Thanks to Murat who brought us back to our appartment with his own car because the weather was terrible. Its obvious you much prefer Yener Bar but is it wrong for Ottoman to talk to their customer, including females as do Yener with theirs. The prices are not much different between bars and are not expensive. If you go out with Yener, whats the problem with Ottoman going out with their customer.

I was in Dalyan and stayed at Ozalp with my family. We always received a friendly welcome. They kept my kids amused, whilst I sunbathed, by playing football game or pool. Emrah is a young man who likes to chat to his customer and is an excellent host.

The ottoman bar is mint.You get good service, the food is loverly.The bar man is canni he is always up for a laugh.There is a pool table,football table,dart board ,a pool with a slide and free internet so overall the ottoman bar is excellent you should try it.

we went to Dalyan in June this year and that's when Rick's bar was closed. Can anyone tell me if it is still closed? They deserved to be shut down. They refused to have anything Turkish in there. They didn't serve Turkish food or tea or anything. The staff weren't even allowed to play Turkish music when they were working! If you don't like Turkey or the TUrks why not get a bar back home? I'll tell you why, because they would never have been granted a licence and didn't have a clue what they were doing, and it shows! Dalyan is a lovely place for nice people, so why don't you go home and leave running Turkish bars to the Turks!!

I don't know if it's the same place after reading the comments about the Rock Bar not being there anymore but my boyfriend and I have just returnted from a fantastic week in Dalyan and just had to mention the night we spent in the Rock Bar. We were drinking and listening to excellent music with the owner, Mut and his waiter whose name I can't remember (yes I had far too much cider!!). We had a fantastic night and finally staggered home at 5.30 in the morning - the hangover next day was a killer. We will be returning to Dalyan next year and the Rock Bar will be the first place we hit. Fantastic place, great people!!!

I found yener very charming and polite. i did not see him trying to chat up with any young girl for 2 weeks i was there. a very nice boy with interesting stories and we had nice conversations. he is a nice young man and basri and his little family are lovely

considering Basri does the cooking, he doesnt have long black hair and i guess you are lying. Basri's food is absolutely wonderful, and Yener is a great host and friendly with all his guests, as is Basri. This bar plays various good music, which may not suit all of the customers all of the time, but it is good.

We have been two years running to Ozalp. We have been treated like returning family by Yener & Basri is also wonderful. How can people who sit on their backsides and are waited on hand & foot by these hard working lads come out with these criticisms? There is no comparable service or hospitality in establishments in the UK, sometimes Yener & Basri work having had no sleep the previous night & still with smiles on their faces. The food is fantastic, they introduce people to create a party atmosphere, nobody is without a drink, everybody feels like they are an old friend. When we had to go home we all had a little cry. Dalyan & especially Yener bar puts the UK to shame & shame on people who sit at home on their PCs & type nasty things about them!!!

Ozalp Junior is usually open if you contact direct and from this winter there are flights from Gatwick. You are right that Yener Bar would therefore not be open but with the opening up of winter flights, who knows?

This is my 5th year back to Dalyan, Yener and Basri's bar is the best in Dalyan! Yener is a very nice person and looked after me and my brother the whole time! Basri, Yener & Bekir took us out at night and looked after us sooo well. The food is absolutely beautifull!We ate there every night!! Try Bas's prawns and the steak is fantastic too! Me and all my family go bk to Dalyan every yr, we will always go where ever Bas and Yener are, they are fantastic hosts and nothing is too much for them! They will do everything they can to make your stay as enjoyable as possible! The comments about Yener are completely false, me and my family always feel so welcome by his hospitality! Go to Yener & Basri's bar and see for yourself, once you've been there, you wont want to go anywhere else!!

We just arrived at our home after 22 days of excellent holiday fun.
We went to Yener and Basri many times and we really enjoyed ourselves at their place.Our first week we went their every night and really enjoyed the guittar playing of Mark,thanks for that Mark:-)
Basri is a very good cook
and we can recommend the big shrimps he cooks with a very special sauce.
I do expect when i went to a bar that it will be kind of commercial so i don't know the problem of the other persons who write things about this bar as if it is not a bar but his/her mother's place.We now know that you didn't like it,so i feel sorry for you and please get a life.
Basri and Yener will always be very helpfull i can promisse you that.

Bet if you had a drink in Ottoman on a few nights or ate there in the daytime you would be interrogated by Yener. I know a few guests who were and then told they weren't welcome at his bar any longer. Also, there were temper tantrums thrown by yener & basri right in the middle of ozalp in front of guests. Ottomen has more facilities but certainly not same fun atmosphere. atmosphere.

The best way to enjoy
raki (the Turkish national drink, also known as "Lion's Milk"),
is with thin, cylindrical glasses and cold (about 8-10 degrees Celsius).
One can drink it straight or with water, soda, or mineral water.
Although raki, which
is a distilled alcoholic beverage strongly aromatized with anise-seed,
can be consumed as a cocktail, more commonly it is preferred with
"meze" (Turkish hors d'oeuvres and appetizers) such as
Russian salad, garlic sauce, sliced tomatoes and cucumbers, cold-cuts,
fried vegetables and pastries, cold yogurt soup, brains, shrimp,
mussels vinaigrette. These are usually followed by entrees such
as shish kebab, mixed grilled meats, steak, fish (pan-fried, grilled,
or oven-baked) and, finally, fruits and deserts. The type of fruit
does not matter and it can be any kind, depending on the season.
The overwhelming favorite among the Turks, to accompany raki, is
the combination of melon and feta-cheese.
