| "Casa
La Romantica" is a detached house with amazing sea views. It stands on a
hill appropriately named "Los Pinos ", which looks down on the kilometre-long
"Playa de Velilla" beach. The upper part of the house is available to
rent. One enters the holiday home directly from the small side street in
which the house is beautifully situated.
Upon entering you immediately
receive an incomparable view of the Mediterranean through the front window.
This panorama accompanies the holiday guests throughout their vacation, whether
sitting on the comfortable couch in the salon, or outside on the terrace. The
salon and the bedrooms are tastefully and completely furnished; the kitchen and
the bathroom fully-equipped.
The area beneath the house is terraced many
tropical plants grow here. The lowest level accommodates the swimming pool
- one step down brings you to the pool (7 x 4 m), in use all the year. Its
use is shared together with the house owner, who lives in the lower part of "Casa
La Romantica" and is a very cultured Spanish gentleman who speaks good English
and cares for the well-being of his guests. Smoking is possible only outside
on the terrace.
Parking is right beside the house. The beach of Velilla
and the centre of Almuñecar, with its small lanes and Moorish castle are
25 minutes walk away, or 3 minutes drive. In the locality there are numerous peaceful
beaches and coves, separated from each other by rocks and small hills. The region
offers a mild climate with average temperatures of 18° in the winter and 28°
in the summer.
In the fertile green valleys close to Almunecar many tropical
fruits such as avocados, mangos, cherimoyas, kiwis and bananas flourish. An extensive
range of leisure facilities contributes to the attractiveness of the resort.
