holiday home stands on a hill above the Costa Tropical resort of Almuñecar
and offers a fantastic view of the sea, the coast and the inland Sierra.
The bustle of the town barely reaches into the hills, so this small holiday development
has a peaceful, relaxed atmosphere.
The development is set on varying
levels following the slope of the hill side and is surrounded by hibiscus trees
and gardens. Their arches and whitewashed façades are of typical Mediterranean
design. "Casa Buena Vista" is built to generous proportions, especially
the salon/open-plan kitchen with its tiled fire-place, which is both roomy and
comfortable.
The approx.16 square metre terrace with its sliding
windows offers undisturbed views out over the blue Mediterranean. It has a
large dining table and a comfortable bed-sofa, so can also be used as an additional
bedroom. With its wooden windows and doors, terracotta tiles and Arab-style tiled
bathroom, it is altogether a very pleasing place to stay.
The beach
and centre of Almuñecar, with its narrow streets and Moorish castle
is only 20 - 30 minutes walk or 5 minutes drive away. There are also numerous
peaceful beaches and coves nearby, separated from each other by rocky hills and
headlands.
The region enjoys a mild climate with average temperatures
of 18 degrees C. in the winter and 28 degrees in the summer. Almunecar is surrounded
by fertile green valleys where many tropical fruits such as avocados, mangos,
chirimoyas, kiwis and bananas grow well. The wide range of leisure activities
on offer increases the attractiveness of the resort.
