Challenge: Control cost of content migration Customer: Hardware manufacturer
Migration costs have been conservatively estimated to be $30 per page; moving old, out-of-date, or un-used pages unnecessarily increases the cost of migration. MAXAMINE conducted a complete inventory of linked and orphaned content in advance of implementing a content migration. The result revealed 5 times more content on the server that was unlinked than the amount of content that was linked. Informed decisions could then be made about what content to move and what to jettison.
