Homestay Applicant Methods of Payment

n order for us to distinguish between homestay applicants with firm plans and possible time wasters,  all applicants are required to pay a small deposit of $150 Canadian dollars. The deposit will give application priority and credibility among the crowd.  We also like to work for committed applicants who are committed to work with VHA team of winners.

If we were unable to secure a suitable and acceptable placement for the applicant, the deposit is refundable at 90% due to banking charges. Our clients enjoy 99% success rate of suitable homestay placements.

We will send you the most suitable of family profile first. When you review and accept host family, you will need to pay VHA the 1st month payment plus placement fee, airport pick up when required, less any deposit paid previously.  We will send you invoice in the host family profile and bank wire instructions too. All in case you want to book host family and firm up your plans.

Upon receipt of your payment, VHA will immediately reserve homestay family and pay the 1st month of homestay on your behalf to host family.

If you stay three months or less, you will be required to pay all in advance to our agency. When you plan to stay more than two months, you be required to pay the 1st month to host family through us in advance, then pay the rest to the host family directly every month starting from the beginning of the second month, every month thereafter, depending on your monthly homestay rate.

VHA accepts three methods of payment:

1. Certified Bank Check payable to VHA- Vancouver Homestay Agency Inc. to be express mailed the following mailing address: VHA-Vancouver Homestay Agency Inc., P.O.  Box 93040, Caulfeild Vlg. RPO, West Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada V7W 3G4

2. By Credit Card or bank account via Paypal, You need to add 3.5% to the amount required on the invoice for payment processing costs. Payment is secure on Paypal online system. Instruction can be send to you via email, but new users of Paypal usually have a spending limit until their account if fully verified. We can email you payment instruction upon request, should you wish to pay with this option.

3. Wire or Deposit payment into our Bank account directly. It is the most secure and documented way to send money and it only takes from two to five working days for the money to arrive. Wiring instructions will be usually sent to you with the host family profile. We normally add CDN $25 dollars to the total of the invoice to cover wiring transfer fees that local and international banks always charge on the way. If you scan wiring bank order and email it to us, we will be able to trace your transfer immediately and confirm all arrangements with host family until your transfer arrives.
