Thermal baths in Budapest »»
If you plan to spend more than one day in Budapest, it's worth visiting one of the Hungarian capital's thermal baths.
Entertainment for men in Budapest
Budapest is rich in bars, cafes, discos, nightclubs and casinos, giving wide
range of entertainment for both young and older men. There are many places
featuring a wide range of music, from folklore music to jazz. You should go for
example to the Restaurant Mátyás Pince or Sipos Fishing-garden to listen
traditional gypsy music or to the Moulin Rouge enjoying cabaret and revue.
If you can't be without the dancing-floor during your stay in Budapest, you
can choose among several discos, such as A38 Ship, Club Colosseum, Citadella
Dance Club, Dokk Jazz Bistro or Trocadero.
If you prefer to gamble, rather than dance, Budapest has more than a dozen
casinos, most of which are situated in the luxury hotels. Formal dress is often
required for the entry, and all of them accept only hard currency. You can enjoy
gambling for example in Casino Budapest Hilton (Hilton Hotel), Las Vegas Casino
(Hyatt Regency Hotel), Tropicana Casino and Várkert Casino. You should carry on
gambling in Kincsem Park, at trotting-races which are very popular in Hungary.
The horses run all year and the trotting-races start at 2 PM on Saturday and 4
PM on Wednesday.
The nightlife of Budapest is well-known abroad, there are many pubs, discos
and nightclubs, which are open until the early hours of morning. But you should
take care before you enter one of the nightclubs of the city, it's worth inquire
whether the place is on the "Black List", or not. The Embassy of America started
to collect those nightclubs as many guests were complaining of overcharging
(for example Tiamo Nightclub, Mambo Club, Calligula, Dolce Vita). But you don't
have to worry, most of the place is excellent for entertaining.
