Entertainment for women in Budapest
Budapest is an excellent choice for those women who beside the sightseeing would
like to have some rest, and spend some time for other activities. Maybe you can't
imagine but shopping is very important for a woman even if she is on holiday.
What are the main brands that you can find in a city? This is one of the main
question that a woman asks at the reception of the hotel. Concerning fashion
Budapest could be seen as "little Milan", as the top brands are all present. H&M;,
Mango, Zara, Mark & Spencer, Esprit, Cottonfield, Spriengfield, Tom Tailor, Mexx,
Benetton and most of luxury brands, for example Louis Vuitton can be found in the city.
The Hungarian capital offers special scene for fans of the classical music. In
the concert halls and Hungarian State Opera House the most famous Hungarian
compositions by Béla Bartók, Ferenc Liszt and Zoltán Kodály are performed often.
Every year world-famous singers (for example this year Liza Minnelli and Robbie
Williams) or music groups come to Hungary giving concert or performing their show,
generally in Papp László Sportaréna. If you prefer to visit museums rather than
listen to music, in this respect also Budapest is a Canaan: more than 100 museum,
exhibition halls and galleries are waiting for the visitors. The Museum of Fine
Arts, celebrating the 100th anniversary of its foundation in 2006, is one of the
most significant museums of Europe. If you like to hunt antiquities abroad also,
you will find excellent ground at flee markets of Budapest. Among them the biggest
flee market is Ecseri, situated in the 19th district - where many relics from the
communist era are still selling such as souvenir - or small art galleries in the city.
