Thermal baths in Budapest »»
If you plan to spend more than one day in Budapest, it's worth visiting one of the Hungarian capital's thermal baths.
Transfer to the airport of Budapest
There are three terminals at Budapest's Ferihegy airport (Terminal 1, Terminal 2A and 2B).
Make sure you know which terminal you travel to/from the Hungarian capital. If you miss the
Terminal, you can use the bus which runs from one airport to the other. There are three ways
to get to the airport: the transfer is possible by Budapest Airport Minibus, public
transport or taxi.
Airport Minibus
The Airport Minibus brings you from/to both terminals of Ferihegy to/from your requested
address anywhere in Budapest. The price of the transfer in to one direction is 2300 HUF
(8 €), the return is 3900 HUF (14 €). The booking of Minibus is available by phone daily
from 6.00 a.m. to 10.00 p.m. (Phone No.: (+361) 296-85-55), and the shuttle-bus picks up
you wherever you are staying and take you to the airport. From Ferihegy you can order it
and pay for the ticket at the airport's arrival halls.
Budapest's Taxi
If you take a taxi in Budapest, ask the driver about the fares because many taxi companies
offer special airport transfer prices. From August there are special taxi-service (called
Zone Taxi) at the Budapest Airport which take you from Ferihegy to Budapest with a fixed
fare, and you have to pay maximum 3600 HUF (13 €). You can order it by phone (Phone No.:
(+361) 365-55-55).
Budapest's Metro
The cheapest way to get to the airport is by public transportation. To get to Budapest
Airport (Ferihegy), you can take the blue metro (M3 - line 3) until to the terminal
(Kőbánya-Kispest station) and the bus No 93 which takes approximately 20-30 minutes.
If you want to get to the city, get on bus No. 93 at the airport (the bus stop stops
in front of the airport's building) and at Kőbánya-Kispest station you can take the
blue metro (M3-line 3) which goes to the centre of Budapest (Deák Ferenc square) also
about in 15 minutes.
