surrounded by hills and mountains a very good farming area with diverse
farming from sheep ,deer, beef, dairy, ostriches, cropping Good fishing
rivers the well known Mataura, Oreti, Aparima are some of our many , well
stocked with Brown trout.
There are several golf courses in the area and many specialist gardens to visit from
Peonies, Rhododendrons, Roses,
Trees and Perennials.
The Kingston Flyer is one of our big attractions
leaving from Kingston on the edge of Lake Wakatipu and travelling down through
farm land in very scenic country
Lumsden being the center is only an hours drive to
Te Anau the gateway to Fiordland and Queenstown, also to Invercargill the
Southern most city in the world
