General Info: Take a short walk to a bog where you can observe a large community of California Pitcher Plants (Darlingtonia californica). A graveled path and two wooden viewing platforms provide good wheelchair access to this unique site. Return on the loop trail to the parking area. Grab a brochure from the rack at the trailhead to help guide you along. Trail maintenance was completed in 2006.
Access: This trail begins right off Highway 199 at milepost 17.9, between Panther Flat Campground and Grassy Flat Campground. Look for the Botanical Trail signs on the highway and take the short paved road to the parking area.
