The cost of ADSL service is falling rapidly.
Many ADSL broadband service providers offer a tiered price structure
where prices are based on the pipeline capacity provided. The faster the connection
speed, the higher the monthly service charge.
To discourage clients from constantly downloading large music or video files, some
ADSL broadband service providers impose usage limits on how much data can be
downloaded. The ADSL customer then pays surcharges if
the limit is exceeded.
In the United States ADSL service currently starts at around $25 per
month for basic service.
