Gunflint Lodge is a year round wilderness vacation resort in Northeastern Minnesota, on the Gunflint Trail just north of Grand Marais entertaining family vacations, cross country (Nordic) skiing, dog sledding, snowshoeing, fishing vacations, honeymoons, and horseback riding.
Gunflint Lodge has been hosting family vacations and fishing trips since the 1920’s. Guests have been coming to Gunflint for exciting adventures and romantic getaways almost just as long. Our winter  vacations are some of the best in the state and our summer vacations are sure to leave you satisfied. Here at the Gunflint Lodge, we strive to provide you with your ultimate escape into the woods.
Upon arrival in the summer you will find adventures including hiking trails to scenic bluffs, fishing endless lakes, canoeing millions of acres of national wilderness, horseback riding on our woodsy trails, swimming in pristine lakes and more. Oh and did we mention, the boats and motors are ready when you are as you arise out of your spacious and luxurious cabin. In the winter you will be invited to cross country ski, snowshoe, dog sled, sled, ice fish, and enjoy the fresh winter air. In all seasons we invite you to partake in our wilderness adventure program led by our naturalist and to satiate your hunger in our distinctive dining room.
For those times when you feel like curling up and enjoying a cozy cabin, we encourage you to enjoy our unique and well-appointed cabins including hot tubs, fireplaces, saunas, dishwashers, and even a washer and dryer in your cabin. If having wildlife outside your window sounds exciting, come on down to the lodge and pick up some corn and birdseed for you to stock the feeders directly outside your living room window. If bringing your pet would complete your home in the woods experience, no worries, pets are welcome here to Gunflint Lodge so you can all enjoy your vacation together.
