FishInfo BC provides on-line access to the BC Fisheries Data Warehouse and to federal-provincial fisheries datasets compiled under the Canada-BC Agreement on the Management of Pacific Salmon Fishery Issues. All data are linked to "active" maps and to standard tables and reports that allow you to choose exactly what you want to know about any location. You can then print your own personal report.
FishWizard

Use the simple map-based FishWizard interface to find our most recent information from data sets that include:
  • Salmon Escapement data from Fisheries and Oceans Canada
  • detailed maps of watersheds, stream networks and lakes from the 1:50,000 BC Watershed Atlas;
  • summarized fish, fish habitat and resource use data for over 27,400 provincial streams and lakes from the Fisheries Information Summary System (FISS);
  • physical, chemical, and fish data for over 3,500 lakes from the BC Lakes and Release Records databases;
  • hatchery fish stocking data from the Release Records database;
  • Lake Depth Maps for over 2,500 lakes.

Fisheries Project Registry

The Fisheries Project Registry contains data about the existence, general nature, location and key contacts for many types of fisheries-related projects, both completed and in progress. Inventory, assessment, restoration and enhancement and research projects from most of the major provincial funding agencies are included. System development was supported by Fisheries and Oceans Canada, BC Fisheries, Fisheries Renewal BC and Forest Renewal BC. It is managed by Fisheries and Oceans Canada in Vancouver.

Fisheries Inventory

The Fisheries Inventory site contains a technical presentation of documentation, maps and database queries for various ongoing fisheries projects such as FISS, the Watershed Atlas, the Field Data Information System (FDIS) and others. It is primarily intended for use by contractors and fisheries professionals.
