Required Tank Farm Operators in UAE. Opportunity for seamen to work ashore
- Shore Job for Seafarers.
We invite applications from seamen who wish to switch over to shore employment.

Who is Eligible?
Please consider the following
requirements to decide if you are eligible to apply.
- Are you hard working individual committed to bring vital change
to your life?
- Have you been working on Oil Tankers for at least 2 years?
- Are you a Pump man, Able Seaman, Ordinary Seaman, Deck boy?
- Are you able to communicate in English?
- Are you used to Gauging (ullaging / sounding) and sampling cargo tanks?
- AND Are you interested in working ashore instead of sailing the high seas?

What MUST be included in your resume?
Your resume must contain the following information:
- You Particulars.
- Your Contact Information: email, fax, telephone, postal address.
- Your Service Record: Duration of Contract, Type of Ships, Size
(deadweight) of Ships.
- Your capacity and experience onboard oil tankers.
You may add your image ( JPEG or GIF format) in the resume word file provided the image is maximum 100kb size.

Nature of Job.
The nature of job is as follows:
- You will work as Tank Farm Operator.
- You will be required to work in the open, it is all fieldwork -
it is similar
to working on deck in a ship.
Some More Considerations about Shore Job by Seamen.
Switching to shore job is a major change in the life of a seaman.

On shore the income is continuous as compared to sea where mostly seamen are paid for the duration of contract served onboard.

When we quit sea we sacrifice in
terms of income, shore jobs do not pay the scales of wages offered onboard ships.

On shore one has to pay for food, accommodation, transportation unlike ships where in addition to food we even get soaps and detergents free of cost.
