3D scanning captures the physical shape of an object and converts it into a digital format. This digital format can be xyz measurement points, splines, cross sections, polygonal stl models or Nurbs surface/solid models. Our 3D scanning capabilities are non contact and used to provide higher resolution denser data on both small and larger freeform shaped projects. It is also recommended for softer and more fragile surfaces, since there is no contact between the actual part and the 3D digitizing camera. Non contact digitizing is done via our sophisticated ATOS III white light digitizing system.
- Mobile, portable system to digitize at your location
- Fast, highly accurate, dense data for freeform surfaces
- Point cloud data( xyz points ) can be input in most CAD/CAM systems
- 3D CAD modeling
- Creation of CAD Legacy data from master parts
- 3D Shape capture for computer aided engineering and analysis (CAE and FEA)
- Engineering drawings
- CAD based rapid prototyping
- CAD based machining
- Microscopically precise 3D scanning
