TRUSTe supports the New York Attorney General's efforts to preserve and protect consumer choice and control over their online experience.

TRUSTe's role is to elevate organizations with responsible privacy practices and give confidence to consumers that the websites that display the TRUSTe seal abide by our strict program requirements governing the collection and use of their personal information. TRUSTe's role is complemented by public enforcement efforts by law enforcement and regulatory agencies such as the New York Attorney General's office.

Datran has not been and is not a member of the TRUSTe seal program. TRUSTe revoked its certification of Gratis Internet (freeipods.com) on February 9, 2005, and the company is not a member of the TRUSTe Web seal program today.

Consumers can be confident that we monitor compliance with our program requirements through our Watchdog consumer dispute resolution program and other monitoring systems. We actively respond to and work to resolve consumer complaints. We are dedicated to ensuring that websites displaying our seal abide by the fair information practices embodied in the TRUSTe program requirements.
