Simms welcomes Aaron Theabolt in the role of Senior Manager of Product Development. Theabolt will manage Simms’ product development team and will report directly to Diane Bristol in her new role as Director of Marketing and Product Merchandising. Aaron has over ten years of experience in product management and development. Most recently he was with Summit Resources, a global apparel sourcing firm, and previously he was responsible for managing and buying all fly fishing products for Bass Pro Shops. Aaron is also an avid outdoorsman. "Aaron adds a wealth of experience and contacts in sourcing and product development and brings a lifelong passion for fly fishing to our efforts," commented Simms President K.C. Walsh. Simms is pleased to announce that Diane Bristol has been promoted to the role of Director of Marketing and Product Merchandising. In this new capacity, Bristol will oversee all of Simms’ product design and development functions and will continue to manage Simms’ global marketing and brand management activities. Previously, Diane held the position of Director of Marketing and Customer Service at Simms. As part of the restructuring, Andy Wunsch was also promoted to the expanded role of Director of Sales and Distribution. In addition to sales, Wunsch now oversees the Customer Service and Shipping Departments. |

Dan Daufel joined Simms as the new Controller in November. He is a Certified Public Accountant, has a Masters of Business Administration and a strong IT background. Prior to joining Simms, Dan was the Accountant for Scientific Materials in Bozeman, MT. He is also an avid fly fisherman, having worked with Blue Ribbon Flies in West Yellowstone, MT and as a commercial fly tier in his pre-finance days. “Dan brings the wonderful combination of financial expertise and a passion for fly-fishing that we always appreciate in a Simms employee,” commented Tim Tripp, Simms’ Director of Finance. “We have known Dan for a long time and are thrilled to finally have him on board with Simms.” Monica Merrick is the latest addition to the Customer Service team at Simms. Also a keen angler, she moved to Bozeman to enjoy the outdoors. Monica has worked in customer service and sales roles for 18 years, most recently with Macy’s as a Tommy Hilfiger Sales Specialist. |

Becky Warren has been named IT Systems and Project Manager and will provide strategy and technology to enhance business effectiveness. She will oversee the management of all IT systems and resources. Warren comes to Simms with over 10 years of extensive IT systems and project management experience. Most recently, she spent 6 years in Colorado with Molson Coors and Coors Brewing Companies in IT management and leadership roles focused on supply chain systems and business processes. “Becky brings a wealth of knowledge to Simms at a time when IT is becoming an increasingly important part of our business,” commented Tim Tripp, Simms’ Director of Finance. “She will help us to better serve all of our business partners. We are thrilled to have Becky on board.” |

The Recreational Boating and Fishing Foundation (RBFF) has appointed acclaimed actress Jane Seymour as Honorary Chairperson for National Fishing and Boating Week, June 3-11, 2006. Perhaps best known for her starring role on "Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman," Seymour, an avid angler, will help promote the benefits of fishing and boating and encourage more American families to get out on the water this summer. Moreover, as the first woman to serve in this role, Jane also hopes to drive more women to the sport. Simms Fishing Products announced that Whitney McDowell has joined the company as Marketing Manager. In this role, McDowell will help drive Simms’ strategic marketing plans and initiatives. Whitney brings a strong background of marketing and public relations experience to the company. She spent four years with Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide in Denver, CO, developing and implementing communications programs for local and national clients. Whitney is also a passionate angler, recently completing a year of flyfishing travels around the world. Her year-long adventure took her to various freshwater and saltwater destinations, including New Zealand, Argentina, Russia, Mongolia, Brazil, Baja and Venezuela. |

Josh Fairchilds has been appointed to the new role of Footwear Product Manager. Fairchilds will manage all product design and development activities related to footwear. Josh comes to Simms from Five Ten, a leading outdoor footwear development company in Redlands, CA, where he held the position of Product Development Manager for Footwear. He also served simultaneously as Production Manager for Stealth® rubber, one of Five Ten’s leading divisions. |
