Deposit Funds

Log in to the Cash Management System to let OANDA know you are depositing funds to your FXTrade account. After you fill out the form, you can use one of the following methods to send your funds to OANDA:

• Bank wire transfers
• Checks and money orders
• PayPal

Detailed instructions (including OANDA addresses and account information for wiring funds) are provided in the Cash Management System. If you need this information prior to setting up your profile, contact OANDA customer support.

There is no "minimum deposit" required to start trading. You may deposit any amount you wish to start with.

All deposits and withdrawals will be processed in the currency of your FXTrade account. Funds will be returned by the same method and to the same (bank) account where they originally came from.

Please note that OANDA does not process any third-party payments.

• OANDA's wire transfer account information is available in the Cash Management wire transfer deposit form. Log in to Cash Management.
  You must submit this form to notify OANDA that funds are arriving under your name and for your FXTrade account. (If you send funds and don't submit this form, your wire transfer deposit may take up to 3 weeks to be processed.)
• Use the same currency in the bank wire as your FXTrade account currency. If you use a different currency, intermediary banks will apply their own exchange rates.
• OANDA Service Charge is $0.
• Bank Service Charges vary depending on the number of intermediary banks involved in the transfer and are outside of OANDA's control.
  If you do not add applicable service charges to the total amount when wiring funds, the receiving bank may deduct them directly, resulting in a smaller incoming amount than you sent. This is a bank service charge, not an OANDA service charge.
• Processing Time: Typically, wire transfers within the US take between 1-2 business days to be posted to OANDA's account. International wire transfers take longer; between 2-5 business days, depending on the number of intermediary banks involved.
  Once the funds are posted to OANDA's account, they are credited to your FXTrade account within one business day (provided there are no pending issues with your FXTrade account).

• Mailing and other instructions are available in the Cash Management check and money order deposit form. Log in to Cash Management.
  You must submit this form to notify OANDA that funds are arriving under your name and for your FXTrade account. (If you send funds and don't submit this form, your deposit may take up to 3 weeks to be processed.)
• This option is only available for USD accounts.
• Checks drawn from a U.S. bank may be used for margin deposits. The funds for all checks must be in U.S. Dollars. International checks (checks drawn from a non-U.S. bank) are not accepted and will be returned unprocessed.
• OANDA Service Charge: $0.
• Bank Service Charge: $0.
• NSF checks: If your deposit check is returned to OANDA with insufficient funds, your FXTrade account will be suspended and all positions closed. You will be charged an additional fee of $20.00, which will be deducted from your trading account.
• Processing Time: Checks will take up to two business days to be processed upon receipt at our processing center. OANDA will send you notification via email when your check is processed. Please note that personal checks may take an additional five business days to clear, as they must clear both the client's side and OANDA's. Personal checks being held for clearing will not earn interest.

• PayPal links are available in the Cash Management PayPal deposit form. Log in to Cash Management.
  You must submit this form to notify OANDA that funds are arriving under your name and for your FXTrade account. (If you send funds and don't submit this form, your deposit may take up to 3 weeks to be processed.)
• This option is only available for USD accounts.
• Include your FXTrade username and account number in the Special Instructions of your PayPal payment.
• Your PayPal name and/or e-mail address must match your OANDA account record for a PayPal deposit to be processed.
• Third-party deposits are not accepted by OANDA.
• Service charges: For PayPal account holders from the USA, a service fee of $0.30 per transfer plus 2.9% of the total amount transferred will be deducted from your margin deposit. For International (Non-US) PayPal account holders, a service fee of $0.30 per transfer plus 3.9% of the total amount transferred will be deducted from your margin deposit. For eCheck payments the service charge is capped at $5.00.
• Processing Time: PayPal payments are processed within one business day. Funds sent via eChecks are processed within one business day after the eCheck is cleared by PayPal.
• Verified vs Unverified: Please note that OANDA can only accept up to $100 in total from Unverified PayPal accounts. If you wish to send funds in excess of $100, please verify your PayPal account before sending your payment.
• Please send the funds after logging in to your PayPal account. Funds sent without logging in to the PayPal account will not be processed.
• PayPal accounts based in certain countries can only be used to send funds. Please do not use PayPal for deposits if you cannot receive funds on your PayPal account. Use other methods instead, such as a wire, check or money order.
