Galileo is just the right size for easy handling and has loads of space for a couple living aboard and room for guests. I have done a lot to get her up to standard and she is ready to go anywhere.

Accommodation Description
Lower Level Forward
There is a 4 bunk cabin forward, just repainted, and an adjacent bathroom also just repainted, containing a half tub, shower and pump type marine toilet. The cabin contains a hatch to the foredeck and has 24 volt lighting circuits and small cupboard. Also this has access to the chain locker. barge-for-sale
Center Level
The main saloon has a galley area located at the forward end with new vinyl flooring, with a timber work bench and a double sink, pressurized water and new electric water heater above sink. A new stylish Ikea kitchen bench storage unit with breakfast bar with two high chairs is installed. There is a near new 220 volts refrigerator and a near new 4 burner gas stove. A 220 volt toaster is also included. The area is served with 24 VDC and 220 VAC volt lighting and power outlets.
The main saloon area has a really comfortable near new Ikea 2 seat sofa and two near new 2 chairs. A near new automatic washing machine is also located at the forward end close to the galley. A small cupboard unit is located next to one chair and a coffee table is located in the centre along with lamp. The flooring is newly carpeted with access hatches to the large and very useful 1 meter storage area that runs the full length and breadth of the saloon. At the aft end of the saloon there is a bookcase, with TV and satellite receiver decoder and also a new satellite dish, and DVD player. The area is served with 24 VDC and 220 VAC Haloge lighting and power outlets. The space is fitted with central heating radiators. Aft Lower Level
The passage way aft is the access to the aft cabin and also to the engine room and this is newly carpeted, and has storage cupboards on one side.
Engine Room
The engine room has standing headroom, and contains the engine, the batteries, battery chargers, oil fired central heating boiler (with new circulating pump), electrical AC and DC fuse panels, and AC generator control panel. Also the new shower gray water pump, and new bilge water oil water separator and pump is installed. The engine room is newly painted. Main Aft Cabin
The newly painted aft cabin is a very large main cabin with double bed with near new mattress and storage spaces and is newly carpeted. There is an ensuite toilet and shower with a new electric toilet, both areas have central heating. Stylish quality new curtains and upholstered seat have been installed.
Upper Level Pilot House
The large Upper Pilot House area is ideal for watching the world go by and is accessed from the outside through a timber sliding door. This great space contains a varnished timber plank floor and an expandable teak dining table and chairs, in fact 6 people can sit around same and dine. The pilot house has standing headroom and is fully glassed, and finished in timber. The pilot station has the steering wheel, VHF radio, thruster controls, compass, engine controls etc. The Port side has a full length upholstered seating area with seating cushions. New curtains are installed along with all new stylish upholstery seating cushions. Half the ceiling area has a new double glazed non opening skylight giving great light.
Outside
The pilot house opens through double doors aft to terrace seating area for up to 4 people for alfresco dining and relaxation, with chairs and a teak grating flooring, and covered with a folding bimini cover. The sides are decorated with flower boxes (In summer).
The walkaround Aft Main Deck area has easy access to the generator compartment, the gas bottle storage area (4 bottles all full) and the steering gear. This is covered with timber grating. Davits are installed for a small dingy.

Principal Equipment Description
The hull was built in 1896 of iron and is in excellent condition average 6-7 mm plate thickness). The hull form is a true traditional Dutch klipper style. There is a fold down mast that is lowered for travel and clearance and has flag halyards and navigation lights.
The Main engine is a DAF 125 hp with an hour counter reading of approximately 2800 hours. The engine has a keel cooling system. The engine gets run and serviced regularly
There is an AC generator and this 220 volts 8 kVA output powered by an air cooled Mitsubishi diesel and the engine gets run regularly
There is a 5 hp electric bow thruster located forward and gets operated regularly
Water
There is a large 1000 litre water tank located under the saloon floor. This supplies pressurized water via a pressure pump. There is a 220 volt electric hot water system in the engine room which also heats off the engine cooling system when under way
Fuel
There is large diesel fuel tank located under the saloon floor and second tank for the generator and central heating boiler located on the upper deck

Sewage
The forward toilet is a marine pump type toilet
The aft toilet is a new electric toilet
Shower drains to small sump tank which are then pumped overboard with a quality new pump unit installed

Electrics
The electrical system is 24 volts with two battery banks each charged from a separate alternator each the main engine. A 220 Volt battery charger is also connected for marina based or generator based charging. A small inverter is also available for use. A small 24/12 volt converter supplies the VHF radio and stereo. A searchlight is mounted on the pilot house along with horn.
Heating
The main central heating is non electric oil fired Kabola heater. A new Eberspacher fan diesel heater system has been purchased and is to be installed

General Inventory
The vessel comes complete with a large quantity of bedding, plates, cutlery, cookware and glassware ready to cruise, and you could just move aboard with your basic belongings if you wished and sail anywhere within the hour as fuel, gas and water are full
Included are various additional equipment including iron and ironing board, vacuum cleaner, pedestal fans, and various other accumulated material including large quantity of books, a bicycle, Dutch and French gas bottles, all types of electrical cables, tools etc barge-for-sale
Slipping and Survey
Prior to purchase slipping was done 2002 and survey report available, with some repairs made to propeller, stern gland seal, all anodes replaced and painted with tar based antifouling. Hull thickness per the ultrasound survey report averages 6 mm plus.
Recent Slipping The boat was hauled out in September 2005, bottom cleaned, inspected and hull repainted and the hull is in excellent condition. Can you find a better barge-for-sale to live on.
Where is the Boat?
The boat is now lying in Mons, Belgium, just an hour North to Brussels, less than 2 hours South to Paris. The barge-for-sale comes paid up for winter until end of April in great location handy to France or all points North
