Trail Cameras - Buying Guide

Deer and Trail Cameras

Trail Cameras - I started using trail cameras or deer cameras in 2003. They weren't the best functioning cameras, but I could see the prospects in trail cameras. By using trail cameras I've been able to increase the number of trails I monitor while letting the cameras do the scouting for me. Using trail cameras is easy. Just set your cameras up near a trail being used and let the cameras take pictures of whatever comes along the trail. Find a good trail, set up your cameras and walkaway. Using a trail or scouting cameras is really that easy.

Buying Guide For Trail Cameras

We've put together a series of articles on trail cameras designed to help you narrow your search for cameras. In addition you'll get a wealth of knowledge from our trail and scouting camera reviews areas. Our trail camera reviews are written by readers who have used them on trail and not just read the box. What I like best about trail cameras is the anticipation of pictures they've taken. My trail cameras have taken pictures of nice bucks that I didn't know were using a trail and more than once my cameras have taken pictures of trophy caliber deer on a trail I hunt.

In addition trail cameras can give you a competitive advantage over other hunters scouting the same area or trail, but not using trail cameras. You'll be able to get more information about deer movement with the use of trail cameras with less time invested. Last, but not least trail cameras allow you to scout without nearly as much human presence which can scare off trophy bucks.
