August '06: 100K Round the World holiday was won by James Uzzell from Bracknell. James said 'It is just amazing, thank you so much, it’s a wonderful surprise – all I did was book a car and I win a round the world holiday! And what a fabulous holiday it is - a round the world trip."
June ’06: England Football Shirt signed by members of the England team was won by Kevin Ware from Barnsley. He said: 'I am very shocked about winning, you never think it will happen to you. I booked with Carrentals.co.uk because of their reputation; the competition was an added attraction. It really is a fantastic prize - almost as good as being at the World Cup itself. I'm sure there aren’t many people who have a signed shirt like this.'
April ‘06: Tina Williams from Berkshire won two tickets for Ladies Day at Royal Ascot. Tina generously gave the tickets to her parents as a thank you for helping her and her husband with their wedding preparations. ‘They had a fantastic day; the weather was fantastic, as was the pink champagne that they drank!’
March ‘06: The winner of our Free Car Rental was Martin Arundell from Bournemouth who won the cost of his rental from Santiago de Compostella Airport. Martin said ‘a very nice surprise on a normal mundane workday!’
June ’06: Four framed and mounted replica 1966 World Cup match programmes with facsimile signatures of both Sir Geoff Hurst and 'They Think It's All Over, It Is Now' commentator Kenneth Wolstenholme were available to new subscribers in June 2006. Our four lucky winners were Harold Perry from Lancashire, Lynne Leake from Coventry, Richard Mardle from Huntingdon, Matt Fordham from Milton Keynes.
We had 8 TomTom Go 510 satellite navigation systems to give away each week during July and August as part of our 100K celebrations.
28th Aug ’06: Mark Dorricott, Shrewsbury, Shropshire was our final TomTom Go 510 winner, Mark said ‘thanks for the wonderful news. The sat nav will come in really handy with my job as a land surveyor. I'm out of the office every day to different sites, and forever buying different maps to find places. It's going to be great to be guided to my destination rather than struggle reading maps again!'
21st Aug ’06: Darrell Perry from Grays, Essex won our seventh TomTom Go 510 system he said ‘I am gob smacked to be chosen as the winner! I drive thousands of miles a year, so this really is the perfect prize for me. I’ve been looking at sat nav systems for a while, but they’re expensive and as there’s always something to buy for my children I thought I’d never own one. The TomTom systems are by far my favourite model, so I’m absolutely delighted to win one from Carrentals.”
14th Aug ’06: Our sixth TomTom Go 510 winner was Amanda Gough from Warrington, Cheshire. “I am very excited to win the prize, it was a great surprise. I’ve looked at sat nav systems in the past but always thought they were a bit expensive, so to win one in the carrentals competition is perfect. Hopefully there’s no way I can go wrong on the roads now!”
31st July ’06: Susan Chittingden Susan Chittendon from Barton Under Needwood, Staffordshire was our fourth TomTom Go 510 winner, and said “I can’t believe I won – it’s a fantastic surprise, and especially when I found out so quickly. I do quite a bit of driving going to see friends and family, and when we go on holiday we often hire a car so we can see more of where we’re staying.’

17th July ’06: Tracey Hunt was our second TomTom Go 510 winner, she said ‘I’m really pleased to have won – it was a huge surprise as I never expected to win something so quickly! My husband always wanted a satellite navigation system so now we’ll both be able to use it!’
10th July ’06: Mark Beacham was our first TomTom Go 510 winner and was ‘delighted to be selected, I have used Sat Nav in someone else’s car so to win my own is great news – no more taking the wrong turn or arguments with back seat drivers!’
