Desolation Sound is a Marine Park with more than 37 miles (60 km) of coastline. The area has been deemed by yachtsmen as one of the most beautiful areas, not just in British Columbia, but in the world. This area represents all that is best about sailing and cruising in British Columbia with its variety of natural scenery, warm summer climate, abundance of wildlife and protected anchorages. A major attraction in this area is the unusually warm water in the summer months, making the area ideal for swimming and snorkelling.

The Broken Group Islands are popular as they provide a true west coast experience in sheltered water- perfect for kayaking. The sail up the coast can be rough- though safe - and this trip is recommended for adventurers and/or experienced sailors.Explore the old-growth forests which include species such as the sitka spruce, western hemlock and western red cedar.
Barkley Sound falls within the traditional territory of the Nuu-chah-nulth people who have occupied most of the west coast of Vancouver Island for thousands of years. Native archeological sites can still be seen today. Join us to explore this area in the summer of 2008 . Cook fresh salmon on the beach – prepared in the traditional native way!
Sail the majestic fjiords of Jervis and Princess Louisa Inlets. This area with its cascading waterfalls and snowcapped peaks is a photographer's delight. Our 5-day trip includes a brisk sail across Georgia Strait, then we anchor in the secluded harbour called Smuggler's Cove. The Sunshine Coast is known for brisk winds and exhilarating sailing.
