Deputy Spokesman Sean McCormack (May 7): "...The international system really has to step up on the issue of Darfur. They have to step up in pressuring the Sudanese Government to accept the phase three package and also step up in providing logistics support, supplying troops that would comprise that AU/UN hybrid force. ... That will allow greater humanitarian efforts and ultimately the implementation of the Darfur Peace Agreement..."
