Candles have memories. The first
time you light your candles (especially pillars), try to burn them for an hour
per centimetre of their diameter. This way, the wax will melt to the outer
edge and leave a thin shell, preventing the candle from dripping. Failing to
burn the candle for the recommended amount of time will result in a tunnel
effect, which will reduce burning time.

Never leave a burning candle
unattended!
•
Keep burning candles away from
children and pets. Accidents happen so quickly and candle wax can cause serious burns to young skin.
•
Never place your candles near
flammable objects such as curtains.
•
Always place your candles on a
heat resistant, level surface.
•
Keep candle free of foreign
matter that could be a possible fire hazard. Remove trimmed wick immediately.
•
Never burn your candle in a
draft. This will cause the flame to flicker and the candle, both paraffin and soy, to smoke. Your candle will also burn down unevenly lessening it's burn time considerably.
•
Never walk around with lit
candles. Place the unlit candle in the desired position, then lite up.
•
Trim the candle wick regularly
and make sure the wick is centered to ensure even burning. Remove trimmed wick from candle.
•
ALL Candles will fade if left in
direct sunlight or exposed to strong lights. Store your candles in a cool dry place, out of direct sunlight.
•
Refrigerated Candles will burn
more slowly and evenly.
•
To prevent wicks from absorbing
moisture always wrap the candle before refrigeration.
•
Use a candle snuffer to
extinguish your candles. If you do not have a candle snuffer extinquish the
flame with small scissors, or hold fingers in front of the flame and blow.
Remember to remove any burnt wick.

Jars and containers may become
very hot - handle with care! As a precautionary safety measure Never burn your jar candles to the bottom as the glass can become extremely hot.
•
Always allow your candle to cool
before replacing lid on jar.
•
If your candle flame appears to be too high, extinquish the candle and trim the wick. Relight the candle.

Should candle wax be spilt onto carpet or other fabric surfaces firstly let the wax harden. When hard gently remove the larger pieces of wax and then place a clean paper towel over the spill. Warm the paper towel using an iron on a very low setting or your hair dryer on it's lowest setting. The wax should begin to melt and be soaked into the paper towel. Repeat with clean paper towel as necessary. We highly recommend consulting the fabric manufacturer's instructions before trying to remove any major stains from your fabrics..
