HARVEST WINE TOUR

Harvest is the most colorful time of year in Paso Robles Wine Country, and the region invites you to experience the bounty of the harvest each October. Join the wineries as they celebrate the new vintage with a wide array of activities. Join in a traditional stomp, spend a special evening at a winemaker dinner or tour the open houses and special tastings throughout the area. SIP: PASO ROBLES WINE COUNTRY (THE NEW TAKE ON WINE UNIVERSITY)

The Paso Robles Wine University has changed shape for 2006 to become SIP: Paso Robles. SIP stands for Studies in Place, and during this interactive seminar and tasting, you'll have the opportunity to learn about the distinct, different characteristics of Paso Robles wines from industry experts. The morning seminar includes two panel sessions and a guided tasting of eight Paso Robles wines showcasing Viognier, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah and Zinfandel, followed by a question-and-answer session and walk around varietal tasting. Seminar takes place in the morning on Friday, October 20. Throughout the Harvest Wine Tour Weekend that follows,  enjoy additional educational activities at more than 30 area wineries. This national marketing tour brings the wines and winemakers of Paso Robles to various markets for trade and consumer events throughout the first half of the year. Please check back in mid-November for 2007 tour information.

ZINFANDEL FESTIVAL
March 16 - 18, 2007
Each March the Zinfandel Festival envelopes Paso Robles Wine Country with enthusiasts and activities around this, Paso Robles’ heritage variety. The Paso Robles Zinfandel Festival is the second largest Zinfandel tasting in the state and includes a Grand Tasting featuring Paso Robles Zinfandel as well as live and silent auctions featuring big bottles, rare wines, lifestyle packages and art. Each year area winemakers create a master Zinfandel Blend, which is only available at the festival. The weekend also includes special events at area wineries throughout the region, including winemaker dinners, special tastings, seminars and more.

WINE FESTIVAL
May 18 – 20, 2007
Each May the Paso Robles Wine Festival takes over the downtown City Park for one of the largest outdoor wine festivals in California. This event offers guests the opportunity to taste wine from more than 70 Paso Robles wineries, participate in the annual Wine Festival Golf Tournament and enjoy winery-hosted events throughout the area.
