March 17: McClinchy Mile Bike Ride
The 25th Anniversary McClinchy Mile Bike Ride is Saturday, March 17 in Arlington, Wash.
The event is hosted by B.I.K.E.S. Club of Snohomish County.
The McClinchy Mile has foodstops, maps and support along three loops: an easy 20 mile loop, a flat 34 miles of farmland and river valley to Stanwood, or a challenging 47 miles of rolling hills to Machias. The short and long loops include sections of the beautiful Centennial Trail.
Cyclists are welcome to ride multiple loops if they want more miles -- all three loops make an early season century (100-miles).
The event starts at Haller Middle School, 600 E. First St., Arlington, Wash. Cost is $25. All riders whose registrations are postmarked by March 9 get a free commemorative cycling cap. Riders may also register on the day of the ride between 8 and 11 a.m.
