Congratulations to the 2007 CCPS Summer Undergraduate Research Fellows (SURF)!

Description: This is the first year that the Carolina Center for Public Service is partnering with the Office of Undergraduate Research to award up to five SURFs ($3,000 each) to support engaged research. Engaged research encourages reciprocal and mutually beneficial partnerships between the university and the community. Projects that focus on public policy, education, health and/or economic development, and that have the ability to impact North Carolina are given preference in selection.

Eligibility: For summer 2007, all currently enrolled UNC-Chapel Hill undergraduate students in good academic standing who will graduate after November 2007 and who wish to engage in undergraduate research, scholarship or performance for at least 9 weeks (minimum 20 hours/week) between May 15, 2007 and August 17, 2007 are eligible to apply.
