Gain professional recognition
Only members can earn the AGD's prestigious Fellowship and Mastership awards. The AGD offers a Fellowship (FAGD) to honor members who have earned more than 500 FAGD-approved CE credits and successfully completed the FAGD exam. To qualify, you must be a member of the AGD for at least three years, but members can complete the requirements in any order.
Lifelong Learning and Service Recognition
Only Masters in the AGD can qualify for the prestigious Lifelong Learning and Service Recognition (LLSR). This recognition honors members who continue to volunteer professional services, act as leaders in the dental community and further their education.
ABGD certification
Are you already an AGD Master? Have you completed a general practice residency? Either of these accomplishments will open the door for you to become Board Certified in General Dentistry, which promotes advancement in academic or hospital positions and military promotions. Find out board certification study aides, requirements for certification and applications by visiting the ABGD Web site at http://www.abgd.org.
Program approval
The Program Approval for Continuing Education assists AGD members in identifying and participating in quality continuing dental education. The program provider approval mechanism is an evaluation of the education processes used in designing, planning and implementing continuing education.
