Fishing News Summer 2007

Beginning June 1st we will be taking our Cod and Haddock charters to areas that are permanently closed to commercial fishing. Don't miss out on some of the most productive trips of the year. Cod, haddock, giant racer pollock and the occasional wolf fish. Time to fill those coolers with fresh fish.

Keeper striped bass have arrived in the Gloucester area!!! We stopped out front to clean some cod and haddock and slammed three large keepers in just a few minutes. In addition to our day striped bass trips, we are now booking 4 hour evening striper trips. Join us for an exciting evening catching trophy striper.

We are seeing unprecedented amounts of sand eels this year. More sand eels than in a decade. Tuna love to eat sand eels. With this amount of bait, the bluefin are sure to show up en masse to gorge.

In addition to enormous amounts of sand eels in our local waters,  NMFS has banned pair trawling for herring in the Gulf Of Maine this summer and fall. A plentiful supply of herring (another tuna favorite) bodes very well for a banner year of tuna fishing.

Bent rods and screaming reels are the norm on the Sandy B. The Sandy B was built in 2000. She is 42 feet long and 18 feet wide with over 300 square feet of cockpit space. Catering to groups limited to 6 people maximum, we provide TONS OF ELBOW ROOM !!!! We have one of (if not the) largest, most stable charter fishing boats in the North East.

The Sandy B is powered by a 635 HP  Electronic Cummins Diesel engine.  Her wheelhouse is literally crammed with  modern state of the art electronics. We find fish, and we stay on fish. Whether your pleasure is fishing for striped bass, cod fish and haddock, or giant Atlantic Bluefin Tuna, your charter hosts will consistently put you on the bite, and KEEP YOU ON THE BITE.

Striped Bass and Bluefish charters(8-9 hours): $875.00            - Send $400.00 deposit  

Evening Striped Bass and Bluefish (4 hours): $500.00              -  Send $400.00 deposit       

Cod and Haddock Charters(8-9 hours): $975.00                    - Send $400.00 deposit   

Monster Cod & Haddock Excursion(11+ hours): $1275.00    - Send $400.00 deposit   
Giant Atlantic Bluefin Tuna Charters(8-9 hours): $1050.00     - Send $400.00 deposit    
Monster Tuna Excursion (12+ hours): $1350.00                    - Send $400.00 deposit

Payment: We accept payment VIA PayPal (Credit Cards Accepted at PayPal), cash or cashiers check.     

Note: Your next tuna charter is FREE when a giant over 73 inches is landed. Our Federal permit requires the vessel to retain possession of fish over 73 inches. Tail quarters, and head meat (awesome SUSHI) can be prepared for the charter party to take home when a giant is landed.

Customized trips, whale watch trips and combo trips available upon request. Please contact the captain to arrange details.

Gratuity: Our mates work for tips. A minimum gratuity of at least 15-20% should be calculated into the cost of your charter.

Deposit: $400.00 to reserve charter date  

Cancellation Policy:  Deposits are non-refundable unless cancelled at least 30 days prior to departure date, or if the charter is cancelled due to weather conditions and we are unable to schedule a new date.
