Galeries Lafayette Europe's largest department store |
|
Opened in 1896, with a lobby capped by an early-1900s stained-glass cupola classified as a historic monument, Galeries Lafayette is Europe's largest department store. This elegant department store carries top brands, including Chanel, Prada, Cartier, Louis Vuitton and Gaultier.
There's a wonderful lingerie department a new children concept store that takes up an entire floor, and a separate building for men. Restaurants, wine bars, a tea room and a huge gourmet food department. Two new attractions are an activewear boutique designed by Castelbajac, with the latest in sports equipment and fashions and a completely renovated cosmetics and perfume section offering 260 different brands.
The Galaries Lafayette is also for food lovers, and the Lafayette Gourmet foodhall does not disappoint. The hall has everything and more for the dedicated gourmand: a bakery with a dazzling array of specialist breads and pastries, reflecting France's continuing devotion to dough in all its forms; a matchless cheese counter selling top-quality French and overseas varieties.
Across the street is the new Lafayette Maison a home decorating shop with sophisticated furnishings. |

Paradis Latin Paradis d'Amour, the new show |
|
The Paradis Latin considers itself the most Parisian of the great cabarets. This calling can be seen in the decoration of the theatre built by Gustave Eiffel, in the incredible world famous French CanCan and in most of the ballets. The famous shows of the Paradis Latin, such as Paris Paradis, Nuit de Paradis, Paradisiac, Champagne, Hello Paradis, Viva Paradis have all remained loyal and reflect the Parisian spirit.
Still, today we tastefully present scenes that are both modern and exciting without undermining this view of Paris. Having premiered to rave reviews, Paradis d'Amour, with its extremely cosmopolitan dance troupe, shimmering costumes, is a veritable hymn to Love and will enthral audiences from around the world. |

Paris Air Show Salon International de l'Aéronautique et de l'Espace Le Bourget 2007 |
|
The 47th Paris Air Show is an international trade fair for the aerospace business. It is held every odd year, alternating both with the Farnborough International Exhibition.
The Paris Air Show is a commercial air show, organised by the French aerospace industry's body whose main purpose is to demonstrate military and civilian aircraft to potential customers.
Traditionally, some major sales contracts are announced during the show (in particular Airbus and Boeing) as part of the corporate communication of the manufacturers. All major international manufacturers, as well as the military forces of several countries, attend the Paris Air Show. |
