Situated between the Opéra and the Gare St-Lazare, Le Printemps (the most Parisian department stores) is on the to-do list of the majority of men and women who come to Paris for shopping. Check out the magnificent stained-glass dome, through which turquoise light cascades into the sixth-floor Café Flo, where you can have a coffee or a full meal.

Les Galeries Lafayette
With its lobby capped by an early-1900s stained-glass cupola classified as a historic monument, Galeries Lafayette is Europe's largest department store. It also concentrates on an upscale roster of everything you need to furnish and maintain a home; thousands of racks of clothing for men, women, and children; and a staggering array of cosmetics, makeup products, and perfumes. The company also runs home furnishing stores and hypermarkets, which sell groceries and clothing, furniture, and cosmetics.Across the street is the new Lafayette Maison a home decorating shop with sophisticated furnishings.

At the BHV you will find: accessories, home decoration, beauty, gifts, gourmet food, lingerie, women, men and children's fashions.
Less trendy that the other Parisian Department store, but with a larger choice for home decoration.

Branches all over Paris.
Every arrondissement has a couple of these practical stores. The most representative, with its wet fish counter, cheese and charcuterie displays, bread shop and fashion department, is on the Champs-Elysées.
Open generally 8am-8pm Mon-Sat; some branches open till 10pm, (Champs-Elysées until midnight) including Roquette, Commerce, Avenue de Clichy and Opéra.
