Buddha Bar
One of the world best bar |
|
A popular haunt with drinkers and diners alike, it’s easy to while away the hours here over cocktails or with a dish from their well-balanced menu.
Subtly lit and lorded over by an enormous buddha, this temple stays at the forefront of Paris cool. You might think it’s the Buddha that attracts the oh-so-trendy set here, as it’s always flattering to stand next to someone more rotund, but there’s more to it than that.
Although meals and drinks can be pricey, the atmosphere is without compare. In addition, top DJs ably deliver mood-setting tunes that underscore the scene - if you like, you can even buy a CD to take along.

Genesis
Phil Collins, Tony Banks and Michael Rutherford back in Paris |
|
Initially fronted by Peter Gabriel, Genesis has changed personnel several times over its history. Collins took over from Gabriel after the latter's departure from the group in 1975. After over two decades of being the band's frontman, Collins left the group in 1996.
With about 150 million album sales worldwide, Genesis features on the list of the world’s 30 top-selling bands of all time.
A string of hits such as “Abacab” and “Mama”, accomplished albums and the flamboyant personality of band leader Peter Gabriel made Genesis one of the most popular acts on the 1970s British music scene.
Genesis will be joined on stage by long time Genesis sidemen, Chester Thompson on drums and Daryl Stuermer on guitar. Two of the world's greatest show technicians, award-winning lighting designer Patrick Woodroffe and acclaimed set designer Mark Fisher are behind the production for the 2007 Genesis tour. |
