Again in Paris, the Broadway musical “Cabaret”, which inspired the Bob Fosse film, with Liza Minnelli playing the lead role...
The show has taken off again since 1998 with the revival by director Sam Mendes, who has created a modern version. The show, choreographed by Rob Marshall, was a smash hit at Broadway’s legendary Studio 54 and is now touring Europe. The famous Parisian venue will imitate the Studio 54 decor and turn into the show’s 1930s Berlin nightclub, the Kit Kat Club.
The staging replaces normal theatre seating with cabaret chairs and tables lit by red lamps to provide a cosy atmosphere, making you feel you’re in a genuine cabaret as you watch this musical extravaganza.

There’s a new twist to the event this year. Five young visual artists Louis Dandrel, Francis Kurkdjian, Getsound, Ludovis Rivalan and Eric Gall (video-makers and light and sound designers) have taken over the gardens and set up their fairytale creations (light effects, sound installations, video screenings, music and fireworks) all along the itinerary.
At nightfall in the gardens of the Chateau de Versailles with its lights and water features, an astonishing visual and sound promenade. The walk takes you amidst the copses and flower beds to the sound of a great contemporary chorus of baroque and contemporary music. This magical stroll finishes in front of the Grand Canal with a superb firework display.
A firework display on the theme of the landscapes of dreams, created by pyrotechnic specialists Groupe F against the backdrop of the Grand Canal will bring this fairy tale experience to a spectacular close. |

The IAAF Golden League is an annual series of athletics meetings organised by the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF). The series was formed to increase the profile of the leading athletics competitions. Athletes (in selected events) who win their event at all six meetings take a share of a USD 1 million jackpot. In addition, events at Golden League meetings scored more Grand Prix points than other Grand Prix meetings.
The legendary Saint Denis track is the setting for incomparable feats and high drama each year as the best sprinters, throwers and jumpers strive to achieve the impossible.
World records have been set, world titles won and battles among top athletes undertaken at Saint Denis, which has witnessed some of the most glorious moments of modern athletics and truly spectacular performances.
With no other major athletics events scheduled this year, you can be sure that the best athletes will all converge on the Stade de France. There are no fewer than 18 disciplines on the cards, with the sprint and middle-distance races expected to be the highlights of the event.
