Prineville Oregon

Prineville Oregon was the first town settled in Central Oregon, in 1868. It remains the only incorporated city in Crook County. Prineville is located 35 miles northeast of Bend, and it is situated in a valley surrounded by rimrocks, as well as the region's other geographic features, this makes it a favorite place for Rockhounds. Other favorite activities include cross-country skiing, hiking, snowmobiling, boating and fishing at either Ochoco or Prineville Reservoirs. Nearby you will also find the Ochoco National Forest in the middle of the high desert.
