The Musée du Luxembourg invites visitors to take a closer look at Lalique’s genius through a selection of about 150 works (jewellery, glass pieces, photographs, paintings, drawings etc.) created between 1890 and 1912 by Lalique and his contemporaries.
René Lalique was a glass designer, renowned for his stunning creations of perfume bottles, vases, jewellery, chandeliers, clocks, and, in the latter part of his life, automobile hood ornaments.
Recognised as one of the world's greatest glass makers and jewellery designers of the art Nouveau and art Deco periods, Rene Jules Lalique was an imaginative and creative artist in all his work. His work commanded the respect of his colleagues and contemporaries and the admiration of the general public, and his name is a household word even today... |

After much thought, the coffee empire hasl open its first stores in Paris, a country where family-run cafes are the standard hang out for everyone from truck drivers to philosophers. Starbucks, whose green-and-white logo is instantly familiar in the United States, is barely known in France. Starbucks could also benefit from the perennially ambivalent approach of France to all things American.

The Lion King Musical
The Broadway musical finally in Paris |

Walt Disney’s animated film “The Lion King” was a huge box office success. After the success of the Broadway muscial show, the show was produced in the United Kingdom, and continues to play at the Lyceum Theatre in London and Canada. The Mogador Theatre will be hosting the “The Lion King” musical comedy, based on the cartoon film, this autumn.
Director Julie Taymor, has turned the film version into an enchanting theatre adaptation. She had rewritten the story and enriched it with new songs by Elton John, South African melodies and beats, choreography and lively decor.
The “The Lion King” production, which has won six Tony awards for best musical, director, choreography, decor, costumes and lighting, requires no fewer than 400 costumes, 200 masks and over 100 puppets. Featuring about 40 artistes and 20 actors, the production has been entirely dubbed in French, from the dialogues to the songs.

The halls are accompanied by a new visual identity centred round 3 main sections: Sailing & Tourism, Motor boating and Equipement.
The 2007 Salon Nautique International de Paris is offering a particularly comprehensive overview of the entire ranger of water-based recreational activities available today. The ever-growing number of show visitors can also look forward to a programme of special events that is sure to meet every expectation.
